Aviv barley reports have been confirmed from the Israel area making the next New Moon Crescent the first for the new year! The first sighting of the crescent was seen from Israel on Friday evening, March 23rd along with several points westward.

Next Crescent Moon (2nd Month):
The following month's crescent will be the second crescent and is expected to first be seen by the naked eye Sunday evening, April 22nd in most areas west of Australia, including all of Israel, Europe and the United States.

Biblical Festival Dates 2012:
This year, the Aviv barley harvest reports from the Fertile Crescent region around Israel have been reported in the 12th month making the next new moon, expected on the evening of March 23, 2012 (starting in Israel westward), the start of the new year. There will be no need for an additional 13th month. This places the Festival Dates as follows (all dates listed begin at sundown the evening before; may vary based upon visual confirmation/trumpet call of the crescent moon):
- First Day of Biblical Year^ (Day 1 of Month 1): March 24, 2012
- Passover^ (Day 14 of Month 1): April 6, 2012
- First Day of Unleavened Bread*^ (Day 15 of Month 1): April 7, 2012
- Last Day of Unleavened Bread*^ (Day 21 of Month 1): April 13, 2012
- Wave Sheaf Day (1st day of the week during Unleavened Bread): April 8, 2012
- Pentecost* (50th Day starting with Wave Sheaf Day): May 27, 2012
^ - Most regions east of Israel will observe the following date (based on global trumpet call)
* High-Day (Sabbath)
The Seventh New Moon of 2012 will have a slight possibility of being seen in the southern portion of South America (Chile) on the evening of September 16, 2012. The United States and most of the Americas, along with all points westward, would then keep this date based on a Global Trumpet call should they be made from Chile. If the moon is not seen, then all regions - including Israel - should observe a new moon the following evening (all dates listed begin at sundown the evening before; may vary based upon visual confirmation/trumpet call of the month/Abib harvest):
- Day of Trumpets* (Day 1 of Month 7): September 17, 2012 (Americas - Possible), September 18, 2011 (Israel)
- Day of Atonement* (Day 10 of Month 7): September 26, 2012 (Americas - Possible), September 27, 2012 (Israel)
- First Day of Feast of Tabernacles* (Day 15 of Month 7): October 1, 2012 (Americas - Possible), October 2, 2012 (Israel)
- Last Day of Feast of Tabernacles (Day 21 of Month 7): October 7, 2012 (Americas - Possible), October 8, 2012 (Israel)
- Last Great Day* (Day 22 of Month 7): October 8, 2012 (Americas - Possible), October 9, 2012 (Israel)
